Dear APWA Education Committee Members,
As we have discussed before, we will be holding our 2nd APWA Webinar -- it is decided to be a journal club webinar that we (APWA) will be holding in conjunction with the Journal of Wrist Surgery (JWS), Journal of Hand Surgery European (JHSE), and BSSH.
This will be taking place via zoom on:
Date:13th April 2024 (Saturday)
Time: 21:00pm (Tokyo)/20:00pm (Beijing/Perth/Singapore)/ 12:00pm (UK)
Topic: Scapholunate Injury and Reconstruction

Our president Jeff Ecker will give a welcome speech at very beginning and join the international Panel, currently including Greg Bain, Toshiyasu Nakamura, Scott Wolfe, Mireia Esplugas and Mark Ross.
Four choice articles selected by the Chief Editors of the respective journals, and the authors of these papers have accepted our invitations to be present during the webinar to partake in this event. The papers identified for discussion are attached to this email for your information and their respective authors will be present for the webinar discussion.
The objectives of this webinar are for making more international collaborations with likeminded societies/academic bodies that promote wrist-related medical education. At the same time, we could promote APWA by providing such platform for experts and budding surgeons in our region to freely exchange and engage.
For the promotion of the events as well as APWA, I have enclosed the flyer in this email. If I could kindly trouble you to help with advertising of this event:
Jeffrey: Jeff Ecker is on board with us for this journal club, could you kindly inform the rest of the APWA board about this upcoming webinar and later on help to send the flyer to them for dissemination?
Esther: Congratulations on becoming the new president of HKSSH, if you could kindly send it to the HK society and residents in training that will be most helpful. Also, we have confirmed with BSSH side (they will provide the Zoom platform) that there are no copyrights issues for this. They will pass us a copy for editing and we could then uploading onto our APWA website after the webinar.
Margaret: If you could kindly disseminate news of this webinar to APOA side, that will be great.
Weijen: If you could kindly disseminate news of this webinar to the Taiwan side, appreciate it.
Mark Ross: you will be one of the authors participating in the webinar, if you could disseminate it to the Australian society and other hand surgeons/trainees in your circle that will be awesome.
Melanie: if you could disseminate news of this webinar to our Sri Lankan counterpart, that will be most helpful.
YK: if you could disseminate news of this webinar to our friends in South Korea, we hope to see them with us at the webinar.
Michael/Josephine: if you could help spread the webinar in your circles as well that will be greatly appreciated.
