First Announcement-APFSRM 2020 in Kokura, Fukuo ka, JAPAN

Dear APFSRM Council Member, On behalf of the organizing committee, we are pleased to invite you to the 5th Congress of Asian Pacific Federation of Societies for Reconstructive Microsurgery (APFSRM) which will be held on November 18-21, 2020 at Kokura, Fukuoka, Japan. The APFSRM Congress in 2020 will be held in conjunction with the 47th Annual Meeting of Japanese Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (JSRM). Since its establishment in 1974, JSRM has played a key role in both local and neighboring Asia-Pacific countries thanks to the great contribution and effort of our masters and predecessors. The theme for the congress is \"Pioneering the Future of Microsurgery\". It is time for us to look back on the great achievements of our respected mentors and discuss the future prospect of our profession by sharing global perspectives. We anticipate more than 1,500 participants from the Asian and Oceanian countries. Congress attendees will have the opportunity not only to learn from the experts but also to discuss and exchange their clinical experience, latest ideas and innovation during the meeting. Our organizing committee is striving to ensure that the meeting is fruitful and memorable. In addition to attending the congress, we invite you to experience Japan. The year 2020 is an exciting year for Japan, as we are hosting the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo. The meeting will be held during the beautiful autumn season. Kitakyushu is the northernmost city of Kyushu and serve as an important hub for both land and marine traffic since olden times. It is filled with historical landmarks and is conveniently located near other exciting cities, such as Fukuoka and Hiroshima. Surrounded by sea on three sides, the city boasts many beautiful natural settings, including the spectacular shoreline of the Seto Inland Sea National Park and the Genkai Quasi-National Park, in addition to Hiraodai Plateau, in its entirety designated a national natural treasure.
